Custodial Services
|
| |
|

GICV is
affiliated with the Federal Government's
AbilityOne Program that creates jobs and
training opportunities for people
with severe disabilities by requiring
government agencies to purchase selected
products and services from nonprofit
organizations who employ such individuals.
|
GICV offers all types of
contract custodial cleaning services for
offices, meeting spaces, common areas,
classrooms, restrooms, and more.
Cleaning services are provided by GICV
custodial personnel who have barriers to
employment and are certified and trained
according to standards that are set forth by the Cleaning
Management Institute (www.cminstitute.net),
a leader in the custodial industry and a
professional society dedicated to education,
training, and career improvement for facility
maintenance. GICV custodial personnel will
arrive ready to work.
All personnel will be
accompanied by GICV job coaches and work
supervisors to ensure that all aspects of the
contract specifications and scope of work are
performed accurately for the business.
GICV provides all of the insurance, equipment,
tools, cleaning supplies, transportation of
personnel, and wages. Business customers will
conveniently receive just one monthly invoice
for total costs.

Document Imaging Services
|
| |
|
Two concerning issues for businesses with regard to their high volume of documentation are 1) where and how to physically store it all, and 2) the negative consequences and repercussions of losing the critical data in the event of documents being lost, stolen, or damaged. Some of these vital documents include:
|
|
|
|
GICV provides the easy solution to these concerns with its Document Imaging Services. GICV’s Document Imaging Services can increase security against document loss, manage storage and retrieval problems, group and disseminate information efficiently, facilitate increased productivity, and eliminate costly storage cabinets and limited storage space.
GICV’s Document Imaging Services can be adapted to a company’s business requirements. Exact replicas of business files will be indexed and stored for quick retrieval and viewing. Thousands of files can be put on one CD or DVD, which will allow a business to quickly rebuild a complete file archive in the event of a disaster.

Industrial Wipes
|
| |
|
GICV estimates that it salvages more than 33,000 pounds of clothing per month that was not deemed as sellable in their stores. Taken from this salvage are materials that can be cut into various sizes and then packaged for sale as industrial wipes.
The wipes can be used by any customer who needs pieces of material for cleaning in an industrial setting (nonsterile). Customers who would typically require such wipes might include:
|
-
Appliance manufacturing and repair
-
Auto parts stores and processors
-
Auto repair and salvage facilities
-
Cabinetmakers and woodworking
manufacturing
-
Car dealerships
-
Carwashes
-
Electrical repair
-
Hardware stores
-
Janitorial services (educational, nonsterile hospital, etc.)
-
Metals manufacturing plants and
processing mills
-
Restaurants and bars
-
Sign companies
|
|
Salvaging unsold clothing
for industrial wipes has a two-fold purpose: 1)
GICV provides customers with decent wipes for an
industrial setting; and 2) it meets GICV’s
mission to provide work experiences and training
for those individuals who have barriers to
employment, as they prepare and process the
unused clothing into the industrial wipes.

Light Assembly/Packaging/Repackaging
|
| |
|
If it needs to be
assembled, packaged, or repackaged, GICV can do
it. GICV serves area businesses with their
light assembly/packaging/repackaging needs while
fulfilling its mission to provide work
opportunities for individuals with barriers to
employment.
Work may be performed onsite at a place of
business, at GICV’s processing plant in
Johnstown, or wherever a company prefers. GICV
can also pick up the items for processing or a
company can deliver the items to GICV’s
worksite.
For example, GICV provides services to Wheeler
Brothers in Somerset, Pennsylvania, a major
supplier of auto parts. Wheeler Brothers
receive large bulk orders of parts, such as
exhaust manifolds, brake pads, alternators, and
water pumps, which need to be repackaged for
sale into smaller retail-sized containers.
There are many other possible options for light
assembly/packaging/repackaging and GICV is
available to discuss all of these options.
For more information on GICV's Light
Assembly/Packaging/Repackaging, contact Greg Mortimer at
(814) 536-3536, ext. 225 or
